Michal Lewek

Tonight we welcome a new member and aspiring photographer who has spent the past few years exploring different genres in search of a personal style – from landscapes and wildlife to portraits and documentary work.

In this talk, Michal will share the story of a five-day photography project, using film, to document the life of a nomadic family in the Moroccan desert. Through honesty and reflection the presentation explores preparation, creative constraints and the realities of working in the field – from ethical choices and cultural challenges to the lessons learned when things didn’t go to plan. An inspiring journey through both photography and personal growth, illustrated with striking images, successful and otherwise, that reveal how short projects can leave lasting lessons.
