Murray Livingston

Murray Livingston is an award-winning landscape and nature photographer whose work has been featured internationally, including Outdoor Photography and Nature Vision Magazine. A finalist in Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year 2024, he has published several books and held a solo exhibition in Oxford. With over 15 years’ experience, Murray splits his time between projects in Scotland and his native South Africa, bringing a contemplative, conservation-driven approach to his work.

In this presentation, Long Lens Landscapes, Murray invites us to rethink our instinct for wide-angle views. He demonstrates how telephoto lenses can be powerful tools for landscape photography: isolating subjects, emphasising form and pattern, and creating images with striking perspective. Through his thoughtful approach, Murray will show how long lenses can unlock new creative possibilities and help your photographs stand out from the crowd.
