Besides learning from the talks and presentations members can also take part in groups outside the programme to learn more about photography. They can also come together to help each other to apply for photographic distinctions from recognised photographic organisations such as the Royal Photographic Society, the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain and the International Federation of Photographic Art.
